Blind Third Eye
September 6th, 2011 by badonkadonkdonkWhen I strike up a tall set of coated, shiny candles perched on a classic three prong stick, I swing it left to right, imagining that I’m in an old creepy house; I hold it in front of me like a crucifix and walk through a darkened room,
stirring up thoughts of moving shadows and drifting sounds, all sorts of foreboding scenarios cross my mind. Once I start freaking myself out too much, I hit the lights for a few minutes and think about how stupid that was. I’ve seen far too many episodes of “My Ghost Story” and “Psychic Private Eye” I guess.
I’m writing by candlelight right now, giving some thought to this notion of a mysterious ‘other world’ (or possibly other ‘worlds’) and psychic abilities.
Millions of people from all over, for centuries have recounted hair raising paranormal experiences in technicolor detail; some people are capable of things like telekinesis, mediums can communicate with the dead. Are they all crazy? Surely there are some phonies in the mix but that’s normal, wannabe’s are everywhere. What about the people that have been telling the truth
all along?
This is probably way beyond the layman’s current level of understanding, an open mind is fundamental to paranormal ideas, psychic powers and the afterlife Truth is, there is a massive body of work in psychic studies, some we are privy to, some we are not.
Ultimately, it’s the brain that makes it all possible. I like to think of our brain as the Universe because much like the Universe, it remains largely unexplored and just like the Universe, we still have a lot to learn about the brain. Our technology, so far, does not allow us to unlock all of its secrets.
Advanced societies, gods and prophets throughout time have urged us to look up for the answers and so we’ve spent a tremendous amount of energy and time trying to figure out as much as we can about planets and stars but WHAT IF they meant something else… what IF they actually mean that we should look up into our own minds for these answers. One great example is Jesus. He said ‘Know the truth for it shall set you free’ (or something to that effect). Maybe the truth really is in our own heads and it is only when we discover it that we truly are set free.
Geniuses have an extraordinary capacity to learn and do phenomenal things, psychics are geniuses, they too are gifted yet I believe every single human being can all unlock their own unique hidden psychic abilities. We all have a third eye, but for most of us, it is closed shut. Opening it up requires a tremendous amount of mental work and unfortunately, most of us are held back by so many things,
including man kinds worst enemy: time. We’re too busy surviving, scraping through life; we get up in the morning, drive to work, try to pay the bills by the 15th of the month. This common day to day routine is an unstoppable wheel in motion, like a ferris wheel, sometimes you’re up, sometimes you’re down. At one point kids get thrown into the mix and you can just kiss enightenment goo’bye, bye-bye, bye, goo’bye…
Our full mental potential, like the wick of a candle flooded in a tiny pool of hot wax, slowly wanes with time; it is weakened to the core with too much media (on top of years of social pressures, stress, bad food and of course, fluoride) BUT there is hope in the fact that the mind is a gooey, flexible muscle that can adjust to just about any environment. If properly strengthened, your brain, my brain, anyone’s can achieve the unimaginable.
Surely most of us cannot find the time to dedicate a large part of our life to prying this third eye wide open but perhaps it would be worth our while to take baby steps towards this end. I suppose one would start by simply clearing our minds of a lifetime of crap… that would be partially achieved by doing small things like not watching television for an extended period of time, turning off the radio, disconnecting your phone… Once fully disconnected from the digital poison, the brain will begin to think again. One should expect
some minor withdrawals but after a few days or so, you should begin to notice subtle differences in your outlook on life.
It would be interesting to see what would happen if one combined this disconnected state with eating only certain types of food, all organic, for instance; loads of greens, or foods rich in antioxidants, high in protein. Of course, most of us will not get too far in the nutrition department, we can’t get enough of our carbs and cupcakes.
Another possible key to shining some light into our third eye would be to read more. People don’t read much these days. Books are collecting dust on shelves in
libraries across the world, great works by genius minds are left there to rot, forgotten forever. When was the last time you walked into a library? I suppose E-books are available but not all books are in that format. I hope something will eventually be done about that but until then, think about something that you’ve always wanted to know about and commit yourself to reading up on it. Feed your mind with new and interesting ideas. Try to figure out what the ‘man behind the machine’ desires most! Ahhh… and the man behind the machine is really you… the real you. Much like that little man behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz!
A quick word on other Dimensions
There is proof of other dimensions so this afterlife business doesn’t necessarily have to be all about ghosts and goblins. I’m sure there is a perfect and highly advanced scientific reason for all of these sightings and paranormal activities.
Could it be possible that spirits and ghosts truly are nothing more than a mere reflection of us, perhaps in another incarnation existing in another dimension, on another world? That would change everything, wouldn’t it?
